Due to the huge response to the song White Walls posted earlier this week and a request for the words here they are:

White Walls is a celebration of survival, a love song to resilience and above all, a tribute to someone very dear to me.

All proceeds from this track will be donated to the Black Dog Institute for Mental Health Research.

lyrics

Lets go down to the park,
And feed the ducks,
Lets get air into those shrivelled lungs,
I’ll try to buy you flowers,
And get them confiscated,
because they’re held by wire,

Can barely walk so we’ll carry you,
They’ve pumped who knows what into you,

White Walls,
Are not where you belong,
You haven’t seen the sun in so long,
It might not feel like you’re winning,
But you’re still here,
You’re still here,

Lets go somewhere quiet now,
Lets give you some peace somehow,
I could wash your thoughts away,
Like ringing out a wet towel,
Watching water trickle down,

Can barely walk so we’ll carry you,
They’ve pumped who knows what into you,

White Walls,
Are not where you belong,
You haven’t seen sun in so long,
You might not feel like you’re winning,
But you’re still here,
You’re still here,

Lets go home –
